Weather procedure:
 

In the event of inclement weather, Roadrunners SC follows procedure set forth by Downers Grove Park District. Always assume games or practices are on unless the park district closes the fields.
Please be aware of our RAIN OUT policy. As we use the DGPD facilities, we do NOT control when fields are closed down due to weather. The DGPD provides a Hotline # (630-223-4092) for us to call to see if THEY have closed the fields. This ONLY applies to the Grass fields like McCollum Park, NOT DOERHOEFER. When the PD does close the GRASS fields, we go to our Rain Out schedule at DOERHOFER. We ask the PD to decide no later than 3p but sometimes they announce later as the weather may have changed again. DO NOT call the PD itself, but WAIT for their announcement on the Hotline.

If we DO go to a rain out schedule there is NO goalkeeper training or Roadrunner U training due to limited space.

Lightning procedure:

Doerhoefer is always open except in the event of Electrical storms.
If there is lightning, or electrical storms in the area. We must immediately evacuate fields if the warnings of the Thor Guard lightning system signals go off.
If Thor Guard is activated, coaches and players will immediately seek shelter (McCollum under the picnic area, and Doerhoefer under the concession/restroom area) and wait for the all clear signal. 
Coaches will resume when the all clear signal sounds if there is time left in practice, if the signal sounds towards the end of practice, parents should pick up their child from the safe areas.
Please remember to never drop off your child if you don't see other children or a coach especially if you think the weather is in question.
