Why did you chose to play soccer?
I started kicking the ball as far back as I can remember. To me soccer meant playing with friends and family and having a lot of fun. When I was 13 years old one of my uncles invited me to train with his club team. I wanted to prove that I was good enough to play so I played my heart out. After getting kicked all over the shins I showed that I was good enough to be in the team and my competitive drive was born.
Why did you chose to coach soccer?
I have always been driven to coach, train, teach and motivate people. In all the roles I have taken in life it always comes back to coaching. I want to be a positive influence in young people’s lives as people were to me growing up. To teach children about discipline, resilience, and belief are great not only for soccer but for life. My 2 sons have been Roadrunners for a couple years and that environment lives with this club. It’s not about winning and losing. It’s about making kids believe in themselves.
